What training videos are worth the time to watch them???

After the kids go to bed at night I would rather watch training videos about firearms and self defense than the shit that the networks are passing off as entertainment. I've seen a ton of training videos. I normally take notes and then pass the video onto someone else. Once I've seen it, I normally don't watch it again... I'm the same way with porn. It's a one use item. So I'm looking for some more videos but don't want to waste my money buying junk. So far I've really liked all the MagPaul stuff as well as the Vickers Tactical. Tactical Response and Gabe Suarez are pretty good as well. Their techniques differ from what I practice which is more in lone with the MagPul guys, but you can always pick up some good stuff.

My new kick is tactics. I've seen Gabe's Tactical Advantage as well as the Thunder Ranch Defensive Tactics. Both of which are pretty good. But what else is out there in this area of training? Throw me some links...

I've also noticed that Jerry Miculek has come out with a "Practical Rifle"... While he the 3-Gun King, he seems a little dry in the trailer. Anyone seen it? What do you think? Any other good 3-Gun videos that I NEED to see?

While I'm on the subject... When the heck is MagPul going to release the Precision Rifle video???

Thanks in advance for the help!

For those interested in 3gun the Noveske Shooting Team video is the best one I've ever seen. I like that they show multiple ways to do the same thing i.e. how to reload the shotgun etc.

I just received a new DVD featuring Paul Howe of Combat Shooting And Tactics. This is titled Tac Pistol Operator - basically a quick run through Paul's two-day Tac Pistol class. This DVD covers instruction in a direct and logical progression and is also as a primer for those enrolling in the Tac Pistol Instructor class. I have been to classes at CSAT and can vouch that Paul is a very good instructor.

A new DVD with Paul is coming out shortly - Tac Rifle Operator.

Panteao Productions is the producer of these and other training videos. www.PanteaoProductions.com.

Those Make Ready DVD do look good. There really isn't any info about them out yet... No big fan fair like the MagPul stuff when it's released. They need to pimp their product and get some reviews posted. They also look a tad expensive.

I just order the Jerry Miculek Practical Rifle 3 Disk DVD set from Brownells. Since I'm a freak and only watch stuff once, it'll be up for sale here in the next week and I can pass it on to another member. PM me if anyone is interested in first dibs. I'll do a little write up on the quality of the material after I check it out.

Then I might move onto the Noveske 3-Gun Outlaw.

The first of the DVDs are now shipping with more titles arriving on the 18th. For those interested, you can also now watch the videos direct from the website in either HD or SD. We have monthly and yearly subscriptions available.

We also have many more titles and more instructors scheduled.

    I like:

I like the Magpul dynamics: art of the dynamic pistol and tactical carbine vids. I've found in my drills that the 95% rule they outline is spot on, they also give food for thought on being very deliberate with even something as simple as an admin reload. The rest is up to the trainee to either take what they say and work with it, or decide that it doesn't work for you 95 percent of the time and that for you, it's garbage. Plus I find the guys entertaining, but make sure you get the whole set or you'll miss out on some good info...Pricey though.
