    Its noticeable.
Damn that’s a good chunk of weight. That was the main complaint I had with my old mws. It was heavy as hell especially with the old style pic rails.

Chopped to 13.7" I saved about 8 oz...which is great...because it came off the front of the rifle.

Who did you have chop it, and what muzzle device did you put on it. Sounds like if you chop and dimple you may be able to lose almost a pound of weight.

I had a local, really good gunsmith do it for me. He runs private label machining for other people.

He chopped it, put an 11* target crown and timed the threads perfectly so no crush washer/shims were needed to pin the PWS FSC30.

I personally do not like dimpled barrels...I would much rather flute it...but not needed. I kind of want to try a cut down 18" barrel to 16" so that I get that exposed gas block look...but having a hard time finding someone to swap me.

I installed a rifle length buffer tube and can't remember the factory config. Is it an a5 length tube with an a3 buffer and rifle length spring?

LMT doesn't use CHF barrels...they use machine gun steel, cryo'd barrel...they are tough though...and hold accuracy throughout its life...

I don’t view KAC and MWS as competitors more like sisters. They both are literally in the same family. And I don’t mean “because they are AR10s”. They are literally sisters.
tell me more about how the KAC SR25 bolt is better than the LMT MWS bolt because they are pretty much the same. the difference is KAC sandcutter carriers VS LMT slick carriers. there is no such thing as a E3 bolt for the 308 platform. the bolt has substantially more meat and is not as weak as the ar15 variants.

Could anybody explain me why there is an extra rail mounted on top of the rail?

Clearly some type of testing rig. It's a piston .308.
Nobody ever got shot climbing over the wall into East Berlin.

Delivering the most precision possible, at the greatest distance possible, with the highest rate of fire possible.
