    +1

Quick, put your logo on it.

I can see some bird dog at Magpul throwing this down at the next meeting...

Like Spin Drift, I'm partial to the new ATACR 4-16x42 F1. At times I feel like the 2.5-10x24 or 32 would be a better fit, but then I look through it, let out a contented sigh, and pull the trigger.

I really like the SOPMOD stock, but started running others because of the not-so-rear-bag-friendly design. Instead of doing real work today, I drew and 3D printed a bag rider, which also blocks the adjustment lever from working the normal way. You can still adjust the length of the stock, but you have to lift the lever. Now there's zero chance of accidentally pressing the lever with a rear bag and ending up with a scope on your face.

And yeah, it's ugly, but such are the limitations of extruder printers. At least it weighs only half an ounce, and cost 10 cents!

It cost lrt say $1.00 with your time, it serves a purpose. Id say win.

Could you buy something for lets say $25 otd that would work better, of not yours is perfect

Personally I find the NXS compacts to be the best glass for light precision 16" .308 gas guns like the MWS, but there are a ton of good optics out there...the important part says LMT on it

I agree the nxs 2.5-10x24 like you had was a great setup. The USO was nice but heavy for its size. Also after the reticle canted that day when we shot and I got a brand new replacement, it was hard for me to trust it even though it was a complete new scope. I also like the MK6 3-18. Almost as light as the nxs but a little more mag for older eyes.

Although I absolutely love the S&B's form factor, features and reticle, and I feel the focal range is more than ideal for this application, I keep thinking that the rifle would be better served with something a bit more compact.

I've installed an adjustable gas key to see if it won't address the overgassed issue we discussed a few pages back. Haven't had a chance to gauge results, but I hope to provide a detailed update once I find ample time to sit down and generate a report.

I personally havent found my MWS to be overgassed. Its a factory early 2015 built gun. I've thrown an aimpoint micro h2 on it, and it runs so smooth/well, with less rock than a friends scar 17

I strongly suspect that my port was opened up when it was sent off for custom work, which has led to the gas issues I've experienced.

Following up... thanks for the info and input all! I picked up a like-new Nightforce F1 3.5-15x50 from a seller. Should be in my possession next week! Can't wait to give it a try!

Outstanding decision...ive said it here a few times that once I setup a true precision MWS with both a 18" 5R .308 SS...and a 20" .260rem/6.5cm barrel, the glass would be the extremely vetted NXS F1...also like the smaller bell/profile on the x50 model for gassers.

The tech, pics, and discussion all really stand out in this thread..kudos to the many great posters.

Also we need an m4c mws/mrp used barrel swap program. Trade well used barrels to each other to better exploit the system's large potential. Just a thought.

    U can really burn a wallet with the new .308 25rdrs and a T-1....

    ETA..

Lol...I really thought your rifle was exceptionally well setup. Also had a great time shooting the MWSs together. We need to do it again.....wager this time as well to make it even more interesting...you won the first round. The range is closed though atm...sucks!
