His name is Mark Chanlynn (303) 823-6270. He doesn't have a website. He been involved with military shooting teams and the US National team for long time. He runs his operation just as Boots did. The money difference is money well spent. He is also one of the developing people behind the Bighorn Actions. To bad we are so far apart I would let you shoot my stuff.

Mark Chanlynn, makes some amazing barrels, He has been building competition AR-15s for a long time, when I lived in Colorado in the late 90s the USAMU was still sending shooters to consult with Mr Chanlynn.

Took the MWS out today for the very first time. Really didn't know what to expect out of the rifle since I've never shot a semi auto 308 gas gun before. Shot some m80 ball and a mix of match ammo ranging from FGMM and IMI match. Wish I had more time out there.

Didn't expect too much from the Lake City Xm80 ball and was getting groups anywhere between 1.25"-2.5". I was able to get off a couple groups each of the match ammo.

    Big Bro, Lil Bro

And here are my results of my last shots of the day.

    5rds IMI 7.62x51 175gr match

    5rds FGMM 175gr

    Another 5rds FGMM 175gr

And my best groups from the day are 5rds FGMM 168gr

And my last 5rds FGMM 168gr

Don't discount the M80 ball ammo just yet. It took my MWS about 40-80 rounds and it really started shooting. I was seeing M80 grouping just over an inch of I take my time and do my part with a 16" CL barrel. With FGMM its just under an inch. Honestly with the price difference and performance my MWS sees mostly M80. I'm hoping to order a 20" SS barrel this winter and change out the optics I've been using.

I also took my MWS to the range for the first time with a few different loads. The rifle is an MWS with the 16" CL and a Vortex PST 2.5-10x44 sfp in adm mount. I shot the following loads in two 5 round groups:

    Perfecta 147gr FMJ
    MEN 147gr FMJ
    Federal XM80 149gr FMJ
    Federal T762TNB1 130gr OTM
    FGMM 308 168gr
    FGMM 762x51 175gr
    Remington Corelokt 150gr

Rifle seems to like the FGMM 168gr. Had a flier on the first group that opened it up. Second group was ok but I only had 10 rounds of that load so I couldn't shoot anymore groups. At this point I'm going to replace the trigger with a geisselle, get a better scope and butt stock and try the FGMM 168gr again.

Couple of disclaimers: 1) This is the first time I've ever shot an ar10. I can easily shoot sub moa groups with my LMT MRP and can shoot one hole groups with my bolt guns but have no experience with an ar10. 2) I was shooting prone and was having difficulty loading the bipod due to the slickness of the concrete surface I was on. 3) I noticed the levers on my ADM mount were not pushed down all the way after I had already shot the first four brands of ammo. The levers were still locked closed, and I could not detect any movement of the mount, but they had come up some due to the recoil.
