Does anyone know if LMT is still making these in FDE? Or was it a limited thing? I'm not that desperate for it to be FDE, but I wouldn't be against paying a tiny bit more if it were reasonable.

I'm hoping to get one by the end of the year if funds finally permit. I see that they're starting to come down in price a bit.

The LM8MWS in FDE is still listed on the LMT site:

Yes it's still listed. I called lawmans two weeks ago and they got a lead time from LMT of 6 months minimum on the FDE. With no gaurentee. I bought a Black Slick side mws for 2700 and paid 220 for cerakote. I was quoted 3500 for the factory FDE. So for me the 500 difference and immediate availability was worth doing the FDE elsewhere.

Lowering price on the second hand market maybe, but they raised their prices on everything from lmt directly. An lmt lm8 upper is about $1900 now

Took the rifle out today, bit of chrono work.

Camera failed big time but I'm out again Weds so will take more then.

The LMT DMR stock is great, highly recommend it. Hatching a plan though... may get a 20" barrel for longer "stuff". Will slip the DMR stock on for the 20" barrel and a usual type stock with the 16" for shorter range work. Just need to find me a decent stock hmmm.... anyone got a spare HK 416 / 417 stock kicking about lol?

I don't know about all the 417 stocks, but the ones I've seen would appear to be over sized on a normal RE.

Do you have a pic of your cerakote job? I am thinking of getting it done myself......or saving money and rattle can/airbrush myself. Thanks.

Which one? I'm pretty sure the G28/MR762/HK417 is all proprietary. I had a MR556 E1 on my MWS but went back to the LMT.

Used the standard HK 417 stock a fair bit but can't find em in the UK. Typical
