another heads up, just checked with LMT,

the Mloc MWS chassis is 5 Oz lighter than the Railed version.
the light weight SS 16 in barrel is 16 Oz lighter than standard
the light weight SS 13.5 is 11 Oz lighter than Standard

reconfiguring my MWS to a MLOC Chassis and going from a 18 inch SS to a 13.5 SS LW, it looks like i am going to lose almost 2lbs off the front end. picked up a 6.5 SS 20 inch barrel for longer ranges.

Should be interesting in how it feels with a 13.5 compared to My SCAR 17 when i get home.

The original SS 18 inch rifle barrel is getting cut back to 16 and dimpled

I wonder if the MLoc version is lighter than the slick side version

It's not on the website yet. From what I recall the slick side is 2 oz lighter than std. So the mloc should be 3 oz lighter .

Now I need to find mloc accessories

For 3 oz I'll stay with the slick side but the LW SS barrel may be something to look into.

Since i was coming from a gen 1, it is a little more appealing for me, plus its actually falling into somewhat of a standardized pattern(mloc) rail vs the slim and I like that. since I picked up a SCAR 17 a couple weeks back, kind changing things up a bit with my 308's.

i am setting up the SCAR with the KDG stock and 6.5 rail, geislle trigger and trijicon 1-8

the MWS is going to have the 13.5 for 308 and 20 inch 6.5 for LR with a Mk6 3-18, the 13.5 should be nice compact platform with a can on it.

i would love to run 147 eld's in the 6.5 barrel.
i might entertain dropping from a 178 AMX to a 155 ELD in 308, gain velocity and keep in within 600

Definitely going to snag a MLOK MWS and the MARS-H. I've got the MARS CQB variant and it is the absolute deal. Pic thread... Needs a TAN DBAL. First world problems....
