Have you guys seen this (thanks Pappabear)? Dude has a pretty slick setup, but I'm curious about his 13.5 barrel. In all the images I've seen the 13.5 barrel terminates right at the end of the rail with pretty much only the threads being exposed. His appears to extend an additional 1.5 inches beyond the rail. Am I missing something?

Yeah the 13.5's shoulder is right at the end of the rail. Looks like his chassis is the same. I'll shoot him am PM. I am curious now.

I think the lightweight 13.5" with a pinned FH to get it to 16" would be the heat. Probably shave 1.5lb off of the rifle, too.

It looks like a 14.5" to be honest.

I have a pinned 14.5" and it looks similar.

14.3 from the factory. So it looks like LMT let some oddballs out the door.

He had no clue until I asked. He said he plans on cutting it back to 13.5 rather than send have it swapped out.

Considering lmt doesnt make a 14.3 inch barrel I am not sure why one would assume it's anything other than what they ordered.

I never measured my 13.5

Had 2 kriegers, 1 noveske, 1 LW, 3 LMT's and dont think I have ever actually measured them.

What kind of group size at 100 yards can one reasonably expect from a LMT .308 with a 16" barrel using commercial match grade ammo, like Federal 168gr or 175gr SMKs? (Assuming of course the shooter does his job well).

Also, in the video the guy made of the 13.5" barrel shooting he refers to a "heavy buffer" on the rifle? Do they come with a heavy buffer or was this an upgrade he put in the rifle himself?

1 MOA or better with the standard chrome line barrel has been my experience. The Stainless 5R barrels shoot closer to .5 MOA.
