    M&P Conversion Barrels Question

One of my M&Ps is the full size 357sig. I had bought a Storm Lake drop in conversion barrel from a member a few months back and today was the first time I shot it. Firing Ranger 124 NATO rounds, recoil was non-existent just a very slight push rearwards. I actually thought I had a squib. Anyway my question is do the M&Ps use the same recoil spring for all calibers? Should I be using a different one as this one just seems light for lack of a better term. I had zero misfires or problems firing 100 rounds and ejection was about five feet to the right basically normal. Maybe I'm just too used to the 357sig round in that pistol but something just feels wrong. I also have a 40 conv barrel and thats on par with other 40s I have shot. The 9mm seems like too much of a "powder puff" and the Ranger ammo is fairly hot!

I think you are right on. I too have the conversion barrels in mine. The 357 sig is such an animal anything feels like it is underpowered after shooting it. I've shoot my FS40 then dropped the 9mm conversion barrel in and could not believe it. As for springs, no need to change anything.

Thanks, so you feel the same thing which is virtually no recoil, push, barrel flip, etc? I will say that the Storm Lake 9mm drop in is pretty accurate giving approx 2.5 groups at 25 yards.

Like I said, when you compare it to the 40 or 357 sig, it is like shooting a 22lr. My accuracy is based off of 21ft or so. I typically shoot for self defense. Practice any further may get me in trouble should I actually ever have to defend myself..
