    BCM calls it "Light Weight" on their site. I'm just using their nomenclature for clarity's sake. Let's not get carried away.

    No, you'll never shoot out either barrel. Unless you have a ton of money to spend on ammo.

    than is one really better than other. Or is it just marginal weight differnce?

    Weight is really the only difference; However, the light weight barrel will get hotter faster. But IMHO this is really only an issue if your doing mag dumps or full auto fire.

    it will also cool down faster. For semi work, no performance differences. The weight difference is noticeable
