Then they better hurry up and donate because Paul is $11 million behind Romney and $15 million behind Obama for the quarter...

But his [Paul] numbers pale in comparison to Republican presidential frontrunner Mitt Romney, who reported raising $24 million in the last three months.

I was listening to Glenn Beck yesterday while driving around and they were interviewing a RP supporter. They mentioned on several occasions and really drive the point home that RP has a standing invitation to the show more so than -anyone else-, AND that he( GB ) agrees with a lot of RP's ideas but in spite of all that... they ( GB and staff ) get more death threats from RP supporters than any other group to include Islam.

I'm not on either side, Romney or Paul, but that's a disturbing situation.

I wouldn't put too much stock in GB. That dude contradicts himself almost enough to be a democrat

It's also a rather blatant attempt to discredit Paul. "You don't want to associate with these guys do you? The kind of people that would send death threats? Probably 3 out of every 7 Paul supporters want to see me killed."

Glenn Beck said the same shit last election cycle...something along the lines of "I really like Ron Paul, but his supporters are bat shit crazy and send me death threats."

He should go write some more paranoid ramblings while talking in a condescending fashion some more....

Are you suggesting that the actual election is simply pro forma and, ultimately, the winner will be the best fundraiser? If that is the case then we have become an Oligarchy and democracy is dead.

No, I still have this romantic notion that ideas matter.

The guy is nuts. He supported the Bush Bailouts and claimed it "wasn't enough", then when Obama did the same thing, he said it was "unconstitutional" and proceeded to use that as his proof that Obama was the devil incarnate.....

He has a major problem with flip-flopping on the issues, and then, in typical fashion, ignoring the fact that he changed his mind... Almost makes me wonder if he ever "recovered" from his alcoholism.

Beck is an overzealous, lying religious loon.

Ok, I'm not supporting Beck either just to be clear.

So you guys know for a fact GB does not get more death threats from RP supporters? Fine by me. I'm actually glad to hear that.

It's possible that he does get more death threats from Paul supporters. I didn't mean to imply that he doesn't. It's the manner in which he says it. For that matter, it's the fact that he says it at all.

I would assume that Jesse Jackson gets more death threats from white people than black people. Does he phrase it in such a fashion that implies more white people are crazy? Does he mention it at all?

Beck has an agenda. I'm not exactly sure what that agenda is, but he has clearly shown that he's not above "stretching the truth" (if not outright lying) and whatever grandstanding necessary to move his agenda forward. I used to really like Beck, but somewhere along the line, his almost schizophrenic personality chased me away... or at least one of those personalities did.
