This is what concerns me more than anything with LWRCi, or whatever they are called this week. Proprietary parts, multiple revisions over the length of the companies history, plus a failing economy equals the potential for unavailability of spare parts in the future. The lack of a "standard" piston operating system in general with all of the current batch of piston AR manufacturers also concerns me along the same lines.

I had a LWRCI M6A3, and liked it very much. 100% reliable with the limited time I had it. Only reason I sold it was it was heavy...which was more a function of barrel profile (all my other rifles are pencil barrels) than the piston design. The M6A2 is a very interesting gun, and the revised rail, spiral fluting pique my interest. Frankly this with a BCE battlecomp and SD-E trigger would kind of be my ultimate... perhaps my only request further would be a 14.5'' offering.

Based on the credible stuff I have heard from others as well as the valid issues that nickdrak mentioned, I just can't justify that price tag.

Plus, if I can't get parts for something I really don't want it. Especially something that I am shooting on a regular basis.

Anyway, if I wanted a quality M4 other than my Colt mt6400c what would u recommend? I'm in NJ so I can't have a collapsable stock and flash supp. I wanted to try a piston gun but I saw in one of the posts that pistons are also mostly thought of negatively on this site.
First question would be do you really want a piston driven AR? I've shot the LWRC A3 version and it's a nice rifle. $2200.00 nice?I don't know. That's an individual decision. It was heavy, but the recoil impulse wasn't really an issue.

Personally for the $2400.00 you are talking about spending, I can get a really nice DI rifle, say a DD, BCM or basic Noveske, and still have money left over for a red dot, a light and maybe even a good training course. So, for me, I'll have the set up that I want in a carbine and a couple of days of fun for same amount of money you're spending for just the rifle. Yes, cleaning is a little more time consuming, but I get what I want overall for less money. Just a thought.

When I first started reading the OP's thread... I thought we had another LWRC employing pretending to be impartially thrilled with their junk.

I've not read a SINGLE account of a successful weapon design from those ****ing lying retards.

For the record.. I only hold grudges against companies that outright LIE about their product. LWRC, OLYMPIC ARMS, and Cprod Mags for example.

There's companies that product equally piss poor products out there, but you don't see them lying about what they make. And you don't see their employees and friends astroturfing the gun forums. So in those cases.... buyer beware.

    OP:
For that kind of money, buy a Colt and lots of mags and ammo.
    Or get yourself a Knight's SR15.
Hell, you could even get a SCAR!

What qualifies as an account of a successful weapon design?

My admittedly theoretical interest towards LWRCi stuff is fueled by a big discordance between reports I read here and personally witnessing probably a dozen of these rifles, from 2008 till now, running through classes like sewing machines.

What's wrong with C Products mags? I have a few of their 10 rd 223 mags and they are awesome. I live in NJ so I can have a max of 15 rds. I bought their 10 rd mags and I was impressed. Every mag had smooth travel up and down for the follower, the followers don't tilt, and the springs all have the exact same tension. I tried them on my mt6400c Colt and they work flawlessly. However, I will admit that their NJ inspired 15 rd mags didn't work. Total oposite of what I just described above.

I've been curious about the pmags blocked to 15 rds but the latest anti gun thing in NJ is that now the mags have to be "permanently blocked" to 15 rds. So u could get in trouble for having a blocked mag that can be easily opened to remove the blocking mechanism.
