    but I just got a reply from Monty that says the intent is not to allow access to the bayo lug, simply that clearance was needed for the lug as it wouldn't fit inside the profile of the rail.

    my interest in this is that at first glance it appears it might. and simply leaving it open invites questions as to whether it does. regardless of whether it does or does not, it's good kit and I intend to get one. I'll just have to make do with the bayonet on pistol that some company produced some time ago...

    That makes sense.

    Im sure you can find a picatinny rail adapted bayonet lug you could mount on there somewhere.

    This may be a dumb question BUT...i'll ask anyway.

    When installing these handguards, cant you just cut the delta ring and handguard cap with a dremel and not even bother removing the FSP or gas tube?
