Definitely has a place for a padlock right in front or I wouldn't have gotten it, as I specifically want this one to be for airline travel. Can you use a punch to tap out the piano hinge pin on the lid? I have a similar case, and only noticed that after I bought it. Driving the pin out would be much easier than trying to get around the padlock.

In my mind, there is nothing discreet about it. Any sort of square, bland, soft case, whether long or short, yells "gun" to me.

    • formerly known as "eguns-com"
    • M4Carbine required notice/disclaimer: I run eguns.com
•eguns.com has not been actively promoted in a long time though I still do Dillon special
orders, etc. and I have random left over inventory.
•"eguns.com" domain name for sale (not the webstore). Serious enquiries only.

I'll get some epoxy to put over the ends to prevent that. Thanks for the tip. Though again I expect to be having a duffel bag over this w/ clothes in it when traveling so it hopefully won't ever come to that being a factor.

BFG is having a great sale. Some of their SBR bags and lots of other gear is on sale. The 28" SBR bags are 50% off.

Great Pricing. I did not need another SBR case so I ordered the 35" regular case along with a backpack for my son. Great pricing.

What are you folks with short, folding stock AKs using?

I'm thinking of having somebody make me a large-ish murse/messenger bag that can carry a krink w/ a 20 round mag and maybe one reload yet do so discretely.

I'm curious if anyone else has found some sort of winning combo.

    Ek
