DeltaK, going back to the gunsmith who did my "excellent trigger job" first. so yes, other than Colt work was done.

The trigger feels like it is jammed. I cant pull it through, or it wont break.

Also, I could pull the trigger enough to see a little Silver piece pop in and out as a squeezed the trigger on bottom right area of slide., but it would cause the hammer to fall.

I tried to load the vid three times , no luck.

Definitely take it back to the guy who did the work, because that is NOT right.

Took gun back to Gsmith, was more than happy to work till gun was perfect. He has done work for me in the past, always excellent.

No manufacturer get it right first time every time, all you can ask is they make it right, whatever it takes. I'll pick it up next week and give it another workout. Nelson Ford handled it like a class act, as I thought he would.

Nelson Ford, The Gunsmith, Inc., diagnosed and fixed. Here goes for those who were interested. The hammer strut pin worked its way out to the right of the hammer, 1/32 of an inch is all it needs. Into the the series 80 lever, plunger lever.

Nelson reinstalled it and secured it properly. I tool it to the range and shot 200 rounds through it. Functioned as it should and finally I am happy with this Colt Rail gun.

Neslon said he has seen this three times in his career. Not likely to happen to your gun.

    Range update

Took my colt to shoot another 150 rounds today. It functioned quite well, no issues. Also, I have to say, I really like the Gold Bead front sight. For those of you with aging eyes, the gold bead pops pretty good. I was having one of those days ( eyes get better and worse) where my front sight on my Ed Brown was a bad blur. Gold bead was the ticket.

Where did you find the gold bead sight for the CRG?

Nelson Ford, "THE GUNSMITH" who did some work on my gun did it for me. I know some people reported drama in changing those Colt front sights, he made no mention. And I love it.

He did a Trigger job, and reliability job (took a second try but he made it perfect) and installed the sights.

The blurry Pics suck, but thats a quick Iphone job.

10-8 performance sells a gold bead front sight, among others.

Nice Rail Gun. I am going to procure an all black one for myself when I get the chance. Is the gun in the pics what came out of the box? The grip safety looks different and am wondering if Colt is using some new parts. Which light are you running??

Nelson does good work and makes things right if there is a rare hick-up. He presently has three of my guns.

His bead is superior to most beads that I have tried. I think he makes his own shape of gold bead. Do not remember for sure if he shapes it but it gathers / reflects light better than even much larger beads and I am comparing it to gold beads, not brass ones. It is the perfect size and shape.
