stag arms model 8

Just purchased a stag model 8 I'm very disappointed any one else have any experience with this model?

i own one. it is my first and only ar so far. the only other ar i have experience shooting is my buddies lwrc 6.8.

my stag is fun and fairly accurate depending on ammo. just got some hornady in different weights in to try out on my next outting.

so far i have several thousand rounds of military surplus ammo m193 and m855 with zero hiccups

overall i really really like it.

I had malfunctions right of the bat it seems not to be chambering a new round idk weather its short stroking or what's going on.

check the gas valve on the gas block. is it clocked halfway between the detent? it can operate as semi auto or single shot. if it is set halfway then you might experience your syptoms.

I haven't had a chance to but I was looking at the mag was using and it looks flimsy. I'm no expert but I do believe bad mags are a main cause of malfunctions right?
