I've never seen a rail like this.

Grant should not be the focus of you ire.
The douche who sold you the rail under the pretenses that it is a Daniel Defense rail is.

If the upper was sold to you with the rail attached, I'd junk the whole thing.
No telling what you might have.
    Is that a plastic lower?

    EDIT:
    I'd raise hell right now.
Because that isn't even a knock off of a DD rail.
Or any other quality rail out there.
He went through the trouble to make a comment and share, I just made a comment on his, no energy wasted.

It is actually a very accurate rifle that has never given me a problem, that particular LGS is the official Spike's tactical representative in Puerto Rico, well at least they claim to be.

Obviously they make a lot of claims.
    Sorry you got taken.
But I'd seriously would be on my way to that shop right now.

People often times attempt to save a buck by buying from either an unknown dealer or non-reputable source. Then, are surprised when they get a fake or a broken item.

No need to be "wary" of us. We don't tell our customers that they are getting a DD rail when they aren't.

And if you had purchased it from Grant, you'd have a real Daniel Defense rail.

Breath deep, relax, and figure a way forward. You got ripped off by your local guy, not anyone here. Take it back to him, and mention misrepresentation. The guy did you no favors.

ETA: Grant beat me to it. And he is my "local gun shop", even though he's 2000 miles away.

As they say, a fool and his money are soon parted. When buying something, it is always a good idea for you to do your OWN research so that you know what you are getting.

Being ST rep should meaning nothing other than they had more money to buy in than their competition.

I got the DPMS AR-15 Multi Tool, a good vise and the thing o hold the upper.

Any way around the tool issue, if not any idea which is the right one, seems there are 2 DD tools for this and best place to order it?

You were ripped off because you tried to save a nickel and it cost you a dime. Had you done your homework or asked around here first we could have helped. The last time I checked Puerto Rico is a U.S territory and I am sure that it could have been shipped.

Grant is a straight up person and would not have burned you like the local jack off did to you.

I also do not recommend that you cut your barrel down even if ADCO is doing it. Just get an 11.5" and have it installed.
