    bruchi,
If you bought a complete Sig rifle, then you didn't get a cheap knock off rail. If the dealer made a claim that it was outfitted with a Daniel Defense rail, then he simply mis-informed/mis-lead you. It's not like it came with a chinesse airsoft copy or anything. The rail should have the Sig logo maghined into it on the left side rear of the rail. I believe that Sig has a notch milled into the upper where a corresponding tab on the rail fits in order to prevent rotation. From the looks of it the rail most likely uses a propriatory bbl nut and will require a wrench from sig. Just send the upper to Adco and let them deal with the dis-assembly.

Is this what your upper looks like? I thought that Sig had white markings on the rails, but they could have done both. Is it a piston upper?

ETA: Grant beat me to it. And he is my "local gun shop", even though he's 2000 miles away.

Obviously Grant is a member of standing here I am "newish" it is normal to jump to the side of whom you know, I was just asking for advice and did not start the negative stuff, simply made a very coy reply to his comment. I don't know anyone here so I don't see how in the world I cold get mad at anyone?

Just so we aren't all wondering what you have, why don't you explain what you thought you were buying and what set up you have? That would simplify things immensely.

I own a Sig 516, same you show here and the Sig Rail does look a bit like he one on the Spikes that is not a DD, I got to check it better maybe take it off to see if it says what it is.

Everything else on the rifle has the Spike's logo, worst case scenario I rip that rail off, send the barrel to ADC to be cut and buy a good rail for it.

The rail looks like a troy product to me. In fact the pre-production rifles had the ribs like on all troys.

The picture you posted in your first post is of Sig 516. I am sitting at my buddy's gun shop and looking at one. So, try again.

Not only is the picture you posted look like a Sig 516, you've also named the image 516...jpg so apparently you're aware of the make and model of the rifle. There is no way in hell that "everything else on the rifle" would have a Spikes logo.

So you either: a. provided a link to an incorrect image and are referring to another rifle; or b. you have insufficient knowledge or experience to understand what the kind folks here are trying to help you with.

If a, please provide the correct description and/or images of the rifle. If b, then just send the damn thing to Adco.

First things first, I POSTED THE WRONG PICTURE, it is the first one I saw on my photobucket account and it is of my Sig 516.

Sorry about the confusion my error created.

This is the DD rail that's on the Spike's, well I believe it is a DD rail, I took the rifle out of the safe last night and found this while inspecting it figuring I would find a "made in China" stamp somewhere:

So again, what do I need to take this apart, got a feeling it is a one piece and I will have to take the A2 FSB off as well so will I need new pins, the ones there look more like rivets than pins and a drill might be needed to remove them?

A little background regarding my mood yesterday.

The guys at this LGS are very good friends, this from many years so it really irked me the possibility of them ripping me off, we lost touch with them, my brother and I used to hang at their indoor range on Saturdays and had a lot of great times, I competed on IPSC matches with them and was a member of their shooting team in other competitions.

They are missed as some years ago we had to switch to another range with handicapped access after my brother ended on a wheelchair after having a foot amputated.

We are all allowed our opinions but seems like lots of assuming from some members here regarding a complete stranger that only asked for some technical advice.

Thanks a lot for helping me clear this up, good eye on those that realized it was the Sig, I am sure someone here will aid me further on how to deal with this.

Yes, you will need to remove the FSB, and yes, you will need DD spanner wrench to remove their barrel nut. You might be better off selling the upper and getting one you want with shorter barrel. Of just have ADCO deal with it all.
