A worked standard trigger group to 4lbs would be the most cost effective and very reliable. I performed the trigger work on the above mention group.

From my perspective, they can be very reliable when done correctly. I have done over 200 AR's this year alone. I promptly repaired the group in question when it was brought to my attention, I guarantee my work; even if it is a defective part. I'd rather replace and fit a $10 disconnecter to keep a customer satafied rather than the alternative.

I get all sorts of parts in for trigger jobs of unknown history and origin varying from new to very used. So one can see the challenges that arise from time to time. I have a very good reputation here and on various other forums, most business is from repeat customers and referrals.

Keep me in mind, should you be interested.

    Thanks,

I have had a couple of H&K triggers done by Bill Springfield and they function perfect both over 2 years old and over 1000 rounds each. I would trust Bill's work 100% . his work is top notch. even stock factory parts can fail , it has and will happen from time to time .

To get a USGI single stage trigger down to 3-4 pounds, they have to do a lot of work that makes the trigger less reliable (as we have already seen from an owner in this thread). They also tend to use lighter springs that may cause a problem with light primer strikes.

For me personally, there are only three options for a HD/Duty trigger. A standard USGI and a KAC or Geissele.

Is the pricing going to stay the same on the new triggers?

I am glad I didn't buy the current one. A match trigger was the last thing I planned on adding to my most recent build. I assume you will post the details in your forum when they come in.

I'll probably get blasted for this, but I've used the RRA two stage NM trigger with good results. It's not expensive, and it's not a tuned, custom trigger, but I thought it was a drastic improvement over stock. Thoughts?

You did well, I was only mentioning above that since the gentleman was only looking for a 4lbs pull, there are much cheaper alternatives. RRA, Armalite or having his stock trigger worked, would be the most cost effective. Jard...etc are nice, but overkill in my opinion for 4lbs and above.
