No. You simply choose not to read and understand what was presented. I believe that your questions were answered. It's well known that Bushmaster for years has marked their barrels as 5.56 when in fact that wasn't the case. More to the point it is the chamber, not the barrel that is the issue and lack of consistency.
FYI- They aren't the only ones to do so.

.
Buzz,
To put it simply, "You are trying to polish a turd".
I am kind of amazed that IraqGunz has posted over 10 times in this thread to try and salvage a BM he wasn't getting paid to salvage.
Your gun has problems. You'll fix one thing and another will pop up. BM does not have a good reputation. Personally, I would take from the experience of JSantoro's post in your thread, "I sold off my ole' BM carbine ....." And that is what I would do.
Heck, man wasn't it was free?... For what you could probably sell it for plus what it would cost to get it continuously worked on...you could have a quality gun.
Buy a quality gun, don't worry about hurting yourself or others, and go shoot.
But maybe it's just me...
.
Buzz,
I don't know what else to say. Where are you getting information about a "Field" gage? They are usually only used in the .MIL only as far as I know. If your weapon FAILED the headspace check with a .223 headspace gage then my opinion is that it is jacked up.
If you can locate a real 5.56 FIELD gage check it and see what happens.
In any case attempting to salvage a Bushmaster is a losing proposition in my opinion. I would get rid of the upper and put a quality one on there. Then I would check the other known BM deficiencies and shoot it.
I'm sorry I can't be of more help. I don't deal with non-5.56 chambered AR's and I stay as far from Tier 0 AR's as I can.

Don’t let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya.
Am I the only one getting tired of people coming here asking questions and then ignoring the help?
