1895 MARLIN LOVE

What kind of scope should I look for to scope my .357 Marlin. Are there any brands you recommend? Not looking for anything really high powered, but just a nice all around field scope.

Haven't tested formally for accuracy...I can ring gongs no problem off hand
Laminated stock is solid, comfortable but heavy...not a bad thing when you load up heavy loads though

In the end, I've probably put close to the same money as an SBL, but I like this just fine. It is set up better than an SBL in my opinion...just have to decide for yourself if the stainless is worth it.

Thanks for the excellent info! I like the higher capacity and the big loop. I would likely swap the sights as well.
