I bought a Costco membership. This weekend I'm going back with my truck to stock up on water and rice.

We setup 50w GMRS units (there is also a repeater in our AO) which gives each of us about 60 miles of range, minimum.

Right now we are working on figuring out multiple CTSSS channels and code words/lingo to keep listeners from understanding what we're saying. The problem is the repeater only uses the same CTSSS channel. Wish I could get my hands on a PRC-117 and a Crazy 10.
Why do the loudest do the least?

I worked in the yard for a few hours with some of my gear on. I've started doing all of my yardwork with a pistol on (G19/G34 in a glock sport holster), Buff face covering (for gnats and sweat) and some kind of hat. The sport holster is perfect for being outside with a firearm. It's sweatproof and doesn't get scratched up easily. The Buff is amazing and my cotton hats need some serious replacement. I'm still searching for suitable head cover for 100 degree heat that breathes. I don't want to actually have to use my gear one day and find out that it sucks or is unreliable, so I try to use it as much as possible. In a survival scenario, I think that more people would die from actually having to be outside of the air conditioning doing chores than from gunfire.

If sunlight can penetrate that plastic at all you better get to covering them up, algae will grow very quickly.

I recently started a running program designed to get my fat ass back in shape. I did this program a couple years ago with respectable results (I was able to run a 5K in slightly over 21 minutes), but I let myself go. Today was day 2 of the 8 week program. After 8 weeks are up I plan to continue running.
