Bought a couple rolls of magnesium ribbon (excellent fire-starting material), and studied up on the construction & operation of a flip/flop winch (winch made from wood logs & a length of rope).

One is just never enough...
Reviewed and decided to increase my exercise regimen to improve/increase strength and mobility from 3-4 days/week to 5. Increased range time from biweekly/monthly to weekly; and plan on taking 'training courses' with recognized instructors perhaps quarterly. And, pick up a new fishing rod or two, mental rest and relaxation is also 'preparing' :-)
i went thru and take inventory on my battery collection and medical supplies.
I bought a case of Balvenie Doublewood to skirt the new tariffs...and I bought, 2200 rds of 22LR from Academy on sale. Im good.
Actually a couple of days late to post this, but I picked up kevlar backers for one of my plate carriers. They were a bit thick to put in my main Marz PC, but they fit in my "World the Best Kandahar" PC that I keep in my Jeep as a back up just fine.

I actually just did the same thing - I took advantage of SKD’s 20% off day over the holidays and ordered their soft armor backers for my PIG plate carrier. I didn’t realize until last year that my plates aren’t designed to be stand alone and need the backers, but I wanted to hold out for their sale, since they only do the 20% off about once or twice a year. The PIG PC comes with foam inserts that I had always intended to replace with soft armor, but I didn’t realize how important it was until recently.
Worked out. Bought $500 of ammo.

Bought ammo yesterday, going to a gunshow today to look for more. If that doesn't pan out, I'll probably order some stand-alone plates from Hoplite Armor systems to replace my ESAPIs.

I updated my medical supplies in my get home bags and my home trauma medical bag.
