Why are your sights on risers?

I'm a right handed shooter and I'm left eye dominant. The AR is so flat that I couldn't get my left eye to line up, so using the risers lifted them up enough to use my left eye. My left eye instantly takes over when I shoot and I've found my right eye tracks pretty far off my left.

The ARP bolt is from AR15perfomance.com. He is well known among the 6.8 guys and his bolt is well liked. I went with the Timney bc I don't like two stage triggers...never have. The risers, see post above. As far as the BCG, it locks up tight and is a nice piece. The cheap lpk, honestly I guess I went with it bc most ppl talk about the trigger being the issue in a cheap LPK and I wasn't using a stock trigger so it made no difference to me.

Thanks for the kind words. She shoots like a dream. I tried some cheaper mags bc they were on sale and my gun hated them. Once I only loaded a handful of rounds into the mag, everything cycled fine. The battlecomp turned a couple of heads in the indoor range, but it wasn't terrible. As far as overall cost....I spent around 2100-2200 on parts and assembled it myself. I have someone who is very good to me on pricing and I am loyal to him for buying most of my parts. If I had paid full cost for everything, I would have spent 2500-2600 just on parts.

No problem. We all have our opinion and I did a couple of things out of preference (quick pin and trigger), others based on a blend of functionality and cosmetics. I spent a lot of time reading threads on multiple forums and asked a lot of questions before I started this build.

If you are happy with it and it suits your needs then drive on. My only concern was about unneeded additions that on the whole serve no purpose. Cheers
