Remington 887

Does anybody have any experience with the Remington 887? I got to fondle one(a standard 887 with all black furniture) at a gun shop yesterday and I was fairly impressed with it. Its supposed to basically be an 870 receiver and barrel coated in a plastic/polymer. It felt pretty good in the hands, pointed well, had a magazine extension, etc... Price was like 400 bucks.

i am guessing most people on here will say just get an 870 and be done with it. Just wanted to see if anybody had any experience with this particular flavor of 870.

Having handled, but not firing one, I have little practicle experience for you to glean, however I have heard from reliable sources that the 887 is "very poorly" regarded.

I've heard very negative comments on this particular remington, and it's not an 870 with a polymer skin, it's a new, distinct model.....

Thanks I figured as much. If it appears to good to be true, it usually is.

Now to locate a decent 870 or 590a1.
