I just want to make sure that I understood this correctly. They stated that it was only worth around 100-200.00 dollars?

If so, all I can is that they are screwing you.

I would take some detailed photos of it (to include the inside of the baffle if possible) and post it in the E&E area. Specifically state that you want to sell it in-state and see what happens. It's not going to cost you anything.

And he will definitely get more than $200 for it, lol.

Some additional information is needed to continue this conversation.

    1. The shop in question "consigns" used items. The bearing on this conversation is that I would probably end up with $100-200. I got off the phone knowing that this was crazy. I'd rather keep it for the future or even demo it on a rimfire just for shits and giggles.

    2. The suppressor itself is about 80%. Internally it has only about 400-600 rounds through it. All semi-auto. That being said, it got stuck on the FH and I had to grenade it off and scratched the hell out of it. It works great, but its F'ed visually.

Visually not a big deal for me, but to a buyer? Yes a concern. Who wants to spend $500.00 on a scratched can.

I appreciate all the info and conversation. I didn't realize how popular this would become.

Anyone have a FA in Phoenix, give me a PM and we can test this out!

    Thanks Wally

I don't know the term "grenade it off". You might be surprised what people would think about some scratches. Many people are more concerned about function than beauty.

The 200 dollar canceled stamps use to sell for over 100 bucks. Looking on ebay I see a few listed from 90 to 125. I've seen unmarked ones go for over 200 bucks. Not sure how they got ones that were not date stamped and cancelled though.

You would think they would be semi common as items trade hands over the years but for the price they go fo it would seem not.

"grenade" it off was my term for unlocking it and firing it off. Looked like a 40mm grenade. I tried everthing else to get it off, heat, cold, rubber mallet, etc. nothing worked. no baffle strikes thankfully.

Please do not take this the wrong way. I cannot believe that you actually did that. Not only could you have damaged the suppressor, someone could have been hurt.

Did you ever consider seeking some professional help with it?

That was the recommendation of the dealer that sold it to me. Oddly enough, the same dealer that wants to consign it for $100-200. Go figure.
