I called and talked to LMT yesterday about the 300 blackout availability. I was told "this fall" How is that for ambiguous. There is ammo available, it shouldn't take this long to make a stinking barrel.

They may be making them for the military and waiting for the final feedback before making a lot of them.

You've apparently never waited for a new LMT barrel before... They test them and test them some more...

    Bandwagon Ticket

Yep, an SBR offering in 300blk will be my bandwagon ticket for this to go along with my 7.62 SD. If it is all I'm hoping it to be then it will soon be followed by the AAC 9" upper and a 7.62SDN-6 or a Surefire offering. I picked up some subs while down in GA at Bulls-Eye indoor range just to check out and prove to myself this was not just a dream. BTW, nice little spot if you're in the area. - To the powers that be at LMT...please make it happen

I was previously told they put at least 250k rounds through anything new before its offered. Perhaps they are almost there. I thought they were delayed by lack of cheap UMC 300BLK supers for the testing.

I wonder if they will be offered in both the 16" and 10.5" CL varieties w. 1/10 twists and pistol length gas systems
I would love to see 10.5" CL with pistol gas... but it better be 1/8 twist!

    300 Blackout barrel

I may have missed the thread, but I would like to know if a 16" 300 blackout barrel with a piston length gas position be ok for supersonic loads? There is one for sale on gunbroker with a piston length.
