Any Tips For Two Handed Weak Hand Shooting?

It is a bit odd that 2-handed weak side firing is part of a pistol qual. Usually the 2-handed bit is just to get the basics down, with weak-hand only as part of the pistol qual.

Definitely odd. If you're able to support the gun with your master hand, shouldn't you be shooting strong hand supported? Can't think of a situation where I would shoot weak hand supported.

charmcitycop, the Training Commission actually requires some rounds be fired weak hand supported by strong hand for the daylight/low-light primary and secondary Q courses.

It's a good skill to have, but I doubt most officers will actually use the technique. When we last rewrote our Q courses, we wrote it to fire the absolute minimum number of rounds using that technique and kept it fairly close range.

Most of polices (instructors included) detest that portion of the Q courses.

I just realized that we got drug down the rabbit hole on having something unconventional in your qual that we never really discussed what you asked about.
What is your problem with weak-hand shooting?
How does it differ from strong hand?
How aware are you of recoil and sight tracking?
How aware are you of trigger control?
Is your grip identical?
How is your strong hand doing at maintaining it's position as the support hand?

A couple more questions that might help to clarify things:
Which eye is your dominate eye ?
Do you shoot with both eyes open ?

I found that while shooting with my support hand ( left hand for me) behind a barricade, I was able to maintain better concealment compared to strong hand shooting from support side of the barricade.
We trained this way with rifle and pistol.
I also understand that it is not always possible to do this but just something to think about.
I still am not 100% comfortable shooting two hand with my support hand as primary. Always feels unnatural, but I have been able to improve since I started practicing that technique.

If you're a right handed handgun shooter with dominant right eye, couldn't you achieve this better concealment by maintaining a standard grip and aiming with your non-dominant eye?
