While I agree that Magpul walks on water, I would not wait for them to develop a product when a perfectly fine one that is clear bodied is available now -- Lancer. Perhaps I've missed something, but I don't recall reading a thread where Lancers were run and found deficient in a realistic test of what you, Joe Average, does with his/her mags.

You defeat a competitive market when you don't support the manufacturer who supplied what you need first. If Magpul loses sales because it's not competitive, so be it. It wasn't a priority for them.

It is very much in civilians' best interest to not become wedded to only one supplier, who may suddenly discover that its governmental customers don't want civilians to own the particular item, like a high capacity mag. Just look at who won't sell stuff to civilians or prices them so high no one can afford it (SCAR??). Also look at California -- what that market does drives a lot of decisions commercially.

I run my Lancer's hard in 3-gun and training and have never had an issue with them.
Here in the desert southwest we get a lot of sand and silt which chokes down GI mags.
The only mags I trust are PMAG and Lancer, and I trust them equally.

Lancers and GI also fit in standard Mag Pouches. Pmags are too big IMO.

Then again I run 95% green follower GI's. No reason to not run them.

This is especially true for Lancer L5A's (no rib version)

After slaming a TangoDown mag too hard into my magwell in a class and having it slightly overseat and get stuck (needing 3 hands to remove) on the rib, I am a huge fan for all mags without ribs

And I have never had any issues with Lancers, I use them with confidence, had better results than the new gen pmags
