If someone gets a bolt with an NSN, cage code, and part number it’s stolen. Face the facts.

I find it funny how people somehow think it’s OK to get something stolen if it’s from the Government.
Here is an interesting article about how things don't get properly de-milled sometimes. I actually remember reading this article back in 1996 while on a flight to Japan. Pretty interesting to say the least.

Are you still trying to justify the purchase of what may very well be stolen or counterfeit goods?

I never tried to justify anything. All I am saying is that anything is possibe and their is no reason to immediately jump to the conclusion that anything was ever stolen. That seems to be what you are doing.

The short and simple is, That bolt was never intended for sale to the general public. The source of that part and how the dealer got the part along with how the dealer's supplier got the part cannot be determined. Those two observations send up huge RED FLAGS.

I personally am of the opinion, that when such circumstances are encountered it is in the consumers best interest to walk away from that smoking deal. AKA if you can not easily verify the part is legit, assume it isn't. Such assumptions protect your money and your freedom.
