built me a 14.5 boom stick

wanted to build an easy to carry all day carbine and came up with this.

tried to keep the classic M4 look, very light weight not sure if it's the Vortex but
gets back on target fast. Spec list below.
Daniel Defense M4 hand guards, rear sights and bolt carrier group
    14.5 Delton 1:7 barrel
    Vortex flash hider / pinned
M4 mil-Spec buffer and butt stock
Mega ZEDU upper / lower ( Zombie Eradication Disposal Unit )
    Zombie Hunter dust cover
Magpul BAD lever, trigger guard, ASAP sling mount
    ambidextrous charge handle
    Trijicon night sights
    Aimpoint PRO 2 moa dot

Good question gundawg, I have yet to put it on a scale but it's a noticeable difference from my Daniel Defense M4 V1. It's almost airsoft lite but I'll answer that weight question one day when I get a hold of a scale.

definitely looks like you ended up with what you were going for. looks like it would be easy enough to carry for a time.

    Nice weapon!!!!

So, is this for the circa 73 slow moving zombies or the Y2k sprinting zombies???
If you're in range, so are they...

May I ask why you selected a Del-ton barrel when you picked other good quality parts? Was it the cost or something else?

What was the deciding factor on the selection of the night sights? Did you do any research ahead of time?

@ Iraqgunz I basically made this one out of extra parts I had minus the barrel. I did my initial test on it with 300 rounds and it was poking holes within the X and 10 ring , originally I wanted a Daniel D barrel but man they wait is crazy ( I called DD they said 2 months or more ) Have you heard of any bad things happening with the shorter Del-ton barrels? Honestly it's not a bad performer.

    @ JDW67 haha it's a bit of both, a little bit country and a whole lot of rock-n-roll !!!

I simply avoid Del-ton at all costs. But, we all know that I am an "elitist AR pig".

Have you actually used those night sights? I had some as well on my M16 in Iraq and to be honest, I ended up moving away from them.
