    Thanks for the info.

And let me say first- I am not being a dick, just trying to figure this out.

Second, does your blast baffle look like this:

    or like this:

I ask because there were some transitional models in between "mods".

Also, like iG said, if the can is threaded all the way on and the ratchet teeth are engaged, there is no physical way for it to fly downrange.

I have seen something similar happen when someone tightened it down just to the point of the first ratchet click and thought it was good.

When you mount it, there should be around a full rotation AFTER the teeth start to engage.

can you take a pic of your blast baffle?

That all said... diagnosing over the internet is tough to impossible. To be SURE, you could always send your can AND upper in to AAC for confirmation.

I was thinking something similar. That the ratchet possibly didn't engage correctly or something and it flew off when the rounds went through. It couldn't have been seated properly as you observed or else there would have been some serious damage.

Mine looks like the first pic. Or used to before. I do trust aac and their repairs. Sorry if I came off as anything other than that. That one bullet just scared me a little. Didnt mean to cross anyone or doubt aac or their products. The customer service was fantastic. And it very well could have been my fault but I figured it would have came off during the first two mags. I apologize for any confusion and appreciate all replies and jason from aac responding.

Don't worry about the baffle damage. My M4-1000 07 had a baffle strike from some shit XM193 ammo.

The baffles are a little messed up, but the can works fine.
