E series scout mounts I assume?

I like the looks of those and since Surefire is discontinuing the 6P and G2 series and who knows when Vltor will release new scout mounts for the G2X series, this might be a good option.

    Thanks for posting this.

I'm leaning heavily towards the Surefire G2X Tactical right now. 200 lumens, much longer runtime and only gives up about an ounce to the 120T for roughly the same price. I've never owned a Surefire product either so I'm curious to see what people rave about.

Well, the new build is all together (except the Surefire FM34 Diffuser I'm adding, I just ordered it). I got the tactical light part taken care of obviously (G2X Tactical, VTAC mount). I saved a few ounces by setting it up this way instead of offset downward from the 3:00 rail with a VFG. The DD rail saved me almost 4 ounces, and no optic saves me about 12 ounces from the ML2 I had before.

I just weighed the rifle in at 7 pounds, 3 ounces with everything you see here (and Surefire EP3's in the AA compartment of the stock, they fit perfectly). The rifle, before, weighed right around 9 pounds if I recall.

Does the G2X Tactical have springs at both ends of the battery compartment? The other G2X's do not and this lets the batteries repeatedly slam into the front circuit board/contact area during recoil. This may work for awhile or longer, but is not ideal on a weapon light...

Forum people keep saying it's not an ideal weapon light, because no it doesn't have springs at both ends. But as I said earlier, Surefire not only told me this was okay as a weapon light, but recommended it to me. I guess maybe not having springs at both ends isn't really that big a deal possibly? I'm sure it helps.

Also, the G2X Tactical doesn't have a removable head. Maybe that has something to do with it? I'm not sure but either way, they assured me that mounting it on a weapon shouldn't damage it at all and that the warranty would cover it if it did. I ran several hundred rounds through the rifle with a TK12R5 (also a single spring) and never had any issues with it either.
