Or are you talking about a 12” FSP rail like I posted about above and sapper36 posted pics of on page 2?

I have more trigger time and confidence in my Recce. Works up close and at distance. I can't think of a better weapon to have in my hands for all uses if I could only have one.

    Noveske N4 LoPro 16" Recce
    AAC Brakeout Comp
Fenix PD 30 Light in Gear Sector Mount
Leupold Mk4 1.5x5 optic in LaRue Mount

Or is this a duty M4?
Because it was way past my bedtime and I had just looked up a price for a 2.0 It's a BC 1.5 on my 14.5".

I could name off any list of Eurotrash exotic weapons, rifles of a bygone era existing only with the golden, halcyon luster only nostalgia can afford, or the latest fantastic, dynamic, strategic rifle full of rails....

But for me, I'd say my 6920, a bag and web full of magazines, cleaning kit, lube, and a properly positively pissed off attitude.

I'd stick to Irons as I'm a creature of habit but could tack on any optic I'd need later.

I say that because I've shot it, been trained on it, and continue to shoot it and shoot it well.

Probably sounds a bit more standoffish than I'd ever intend but I keep going back to the 6920. Or rather MY 6920.

Any generic, bone stock, rack grade Colt/FN M4 will do.

    Just me though.

Why? The Colt is pretty obvious. The benchmark rifle.

Aimpoint M4? Mil STD with 8 years of batt life with 2 moa dot. Bombproof.

X300 is a good light and can do double duty with handgun.

DD rail is lightweight and allows for 12 o'clock mount while retaining the FSB.
This is very similar to my ideal setup. except I run an LMT, and a SF X200a rather than X300. a fixed rear sight like the DD also.

That is a tough question. Right now I would have to go with my Charles Daly M4LE equiped with a DD EZ rail, VFG, Magpul MBUS, and an Aimpoint Comp C3.

Once my new build has a few more rounds downrange and I purchase optics my carbine would be a 14.5 DD LW carbine with TA47 or TA33 ACOG.

I'm with you on the Recce rifles validity for a fighting rifle, and yours certainly is a fantastic example.
