If you could only have 1 fighting rifle.......

I posted a year or so and my opinion is still about the same today. I can do everything I need outside, inside structures and in vehicles with a 14.5". It'll do everything I need with an Aimpoint or 1-4 or 1-6 optic. I'd be happy with a Centurion, BCM or Colt.

An 11.5" would be a very, very close second as it does the main thing I need in a rifle a little better than a 14.5", but the 14.5" does everything well and I can fit it into roles the SBRs fill.
Proven combat techniques may not be flashy and may require a bit more physical effort on the part of the shooter. Further, they may not win competition matches, but they will help ensure your survival in a shooting or gunfight on the street. ~ Paul Howe

If you could only have 1 fighting rifle.......

FN SCAR-17, 13" barrel, AAC 762-SDN6, Geissele Super SCAR trigger, IOR 1.5-8x.

If the Leupold MK6 1-6 was out a couple of years ago I would probably have gone that way, but the IOR is great glass and 8x top end is nice as well.

This might not be the worst choice.

Since I don't own a SCAR PDW I would go with one of the ones I do own.

This is my do all carbine

    BCM BFH 16" midlength upper
    BCM BCG
    Centurion 9" rail
    Vickers light mount with surefire
    H1 with DD 1/3 mount
    B5 stock
    Spikes lower with DD LPK
    Basic 2point sling not shown
    Krylon

My other rifle is same setup minus paint, and it sports a compM4, or a accupoint depending on my mood. Have another lower sitting around waiting till I find the parts and cash for a SPR upper.
My 7 iron is more accurate than my capabilities. Same with my AR.

Thanks. I did a khaki basecoat then some olive stripes. I then used a sponge to dab light colors on dark and vice versa. I don't remember exact color names, but they were krylon camo version. I think the sponge gives an easy multicam look, and easy to make touch ups without taping up rifle all over again.
