What barrel length? FSP or Recce? What stock? VFG? Optic or Irons? What light? Muzzle Device? Etc.....

A lot of times we get caught up in what's new and cool, and we lose track of what is really necessary, not that it's an issue, but as we pile up these rifles, many of us still have that one rile that is always the go to one, the one that you have no doubts about any of the gear on it and is your work horse.

If I could only have one long-arm, it would be my Benelli M4S90. T1 optic, 550+ lumen Surefire 6P.

The reason being that it will effectively kill any animal on this planet besides a whale if you use the correct ammunition. It is like a brick outhouse. It is 100% reliable.

    KAC SR-15 E3
    Cut down 11.1'' barrel
    .056'' gas port.
LMT Enhanced Bolt Carrier (soon to be Nickel Boron coated)
    KAC E3 bolt
    KAC T3 + QDSS-NT4 sound suppressor
KAC URX II cut to 10'' (just measured it, previous postings were wrong)
    KAC Mirco Front BUIS
    KAC 600m Micro Rear BUIS
SureFire Scout Light in KAC 1'' light mount (3 O'clock) + Tape Switch
KAC E3 IWS Lower + KAC Carbine End Plate
VLTOR A5 Receiver Extension + A5H3 (5.1 oz) buffer + Sprinco GREEN spring
Emdom/MM rig mounted single point sling/or SKD Slider single point sling
    Tango Down BG-17 pistol grip
    Mk. 262 Ammo
NHMTG GI magazines, with white KAC follower, and SAW red springs.

Soon I will add KAC 30mm one piece scope mount and S&B scopes.

I already have the KAC 30mm scopes.

Seems like a lot, but it's pretty slick.

    I chose my lwrci M6

Daniel Defense Omegas are on them.

Tango Down full size vertical grip and pistol grip.

    Vltor standard modstock.

    Comp M4 on it.

    Currently a G2 on it will upgradeing to a 6pL or G2x.

Have not had any issues with over 5000 rounds.

I had a tricon sling on it but went back to a vtac mk1 sling because I. Like it better.

    BCM 16" mid length
    POF gen3 lower
    DD LPK
    MIAD
    VLTOR EMOD
    MOE midlength handgaurds
    Surefire Scout
    EOTECH 552
    MBUS
    VTAC padded

Think I'd have to pick this as it's considerably lighter than my M6A2, which is set up similarly

I had "primary fighting rifle" in mind when I built my new AR. It is the only AR I have. Weighs in at 9 lbs 15 oz loaded with sling and all.
BCM 16" midlength gov. profile, cold hammer forged 1/7upper
BCM BCG and Gunfighter CH (large latch)
    Troy MRF 13.8" FF rail
Troy Folding Battle Sights (HK front and Standard rear)
Surefire G2L in VLTOR offset mount
Noveske lower w/ G&R lpk (lots of LMT stuff in it), standard trigger
Magpul ASAP rear sling plate, MOE grip, MOE buttstock and MS2 sling
Aimpoint Comp ML3 (2moa), Larue cantilever mount

I would like to toy with a magnifier, but don't want to drop the coin on one yet.

Although it would tough leaving my 10.5" HK416, but if I could have only one it would be my Daniel Defense M4. No NFA rules to worry about it so I could travel with it.

I'd have to say, if I could afford a HK416 upper, I'd cut it down to 10.5 and be happy with that, but I'll run my BCM 12.5 with ACOG as my only rifle

The gas block is different on the 10.5" 416 so it will be interesting to see people doing the above...
