    My WNY Build

I wanted my first build to be primarily a rifle for protection and of course target practice and some plinking. I'm hoping to be able to take a few carbine classes too.
I've been accumulating parts for the past several months and this is where it stands so far.

    -unmarked BCM M4 upper
-DD m4 profile barrel shortened to 14.75" by ADCO
    -Cavalry compensator
    -unmarked BCM bolt body
    -Colt bolt head
    -BCM gunfighter charging handle
    -BCM lower
    -DD LPK
    -MILSPEC Magpul MOE stock
-A2 pistol grip and standard carbine hand guard.

I'm still deciding on which BUIS to get and which electronic site to get, more than likely an Aimpoint micro. And I'm going to eventually change out the hand guard to a 2 piece rail.

The barrel is a brand new Daniel Defense barrel my buddy ruined the muzzle on trying to pin and weld a break on that I picked up really cheap. I had ADCO trim it to 14.75" and I pinned and welded a Cavalry compensator on the end to make it legal length.

Now being in WNY with the stupid AWB still in place I had to make a few changes to keep legal.
-no flash hider, so I went with the Cav comp because it looks like an A2 which I like. Even if it wasn't shorted, no removable muzzle device in NY so it needs to be made permanent.
-No bayonet lugs, because that's an evil feature in NY, you know, because of all drive by bayonetings . So I carefully cut this one off instead of grinding down the lugs.
-No collapsing, telescoping or folding stocks at all...another evil feature here, so I pinned the MOE stock under the lever to hide the pin. I went with the MOE because I like the looks, and it's solid and maybe someday we'll get rid of the damned AWB here, yeah right!
-No mags over 10 rounds unless they are preban, which I have so those are good to go.
** we can have all those evil features as long as the rifle is a pre-ban** complete rifles and lowers that are pre-ban are very expensive here when found.

Now it's not a custom build and I know the love Bushmaster is shown here, I did some upgrades to my old BM while I was building my flat top. Just some simple things to make it a solid rifle.
    -upgraded to a H buffer
    -unmarked BCM bolt body
    -Colt bolt head
    -BCM gunfighter charging handle
-Daniel Defense pencil 16" m4 barrel
    -Cavalry compensator

The only real work I did was keeping the bayonet lug but grinding down the wings and pinning and welding on the comp. This is my KISS rifle, all in all a decent rifle after the upgrades.

I miss Teds Hotdogs.... a WNY native knows what I mean.

Great rifle too. Hopefully NY will get rid of all the stupid laws for weapons there. Its one of many reasons why I did not move back after my military stint.

Yeah Teds is a Buffalo thing. But a few people I know out in Rochester will drive out to Buffalo just for Teds. Real charcoal cooked Sahlens hot dogs with fresh made rings. The bomb... I glut myself on them any time I am back in WNY area. There was split in the company with the kid quitting over disagreements with the old man who owns Teds. So the grandson has opened a Theodore's (which is darn near a copy). He has plans to franchise a lot more. So might be coming to Rochester soon enough.

Sorry to be off course.... but brings back home memories.
