    The RP mechanism is smooth as butter out of the box.

    As to improvement it lets you have a gun that is lighter over all.

    It is a 40 year old design and has had a good amount of use in the field.

    I would call that a good record.

    It is indeed a beautiful utilitarian rifle.

    I've got four Winchester 94's and I've always admired the BLR's that my hunting buddies have.
