    Sounds like you had one heck of a fun day!!!

    I cant answer your extreme spread questions but this link should answer your sight-in questions. https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=65679
    (i havent read this thread in a long while so im not sure if it addresses your exact issues but either way its a great read.)

    I'm kinda surprised the LMT was so overgassed. I had the same issues with a cheaper brand and an H2 buffer smoothed it right out.

    LMT Enhanced Full Auto Bolt Carrier Group should make your life a bit easier, might want to go with a standard H2 buffer.

    MG lube IS awesome, but I prefer grease.

    2 point sling? Gear Sector, CQD, Vickers, or EMDOM/MM.

    Ammo results are normal.

    I recommend the Vickers sling and a +1 on more water.

    If you truly think it is overgassed (which seems weird for an LMT carbine) I would get rid of the Spike's buffer and get a real one like an H3. Or you may want to consider getting the Vltor A5 system.

    Why did you install the extra power extractor spring and insert? Were you having extraction problems?

    I second IG's mention of the A5 system. It's great.

    Good question.

    Good question.

    I will also recommend the A5 buffer system. I'm currently using it on all my rifles, 18" rifle gas, 16" mid, 16" carbine, and 14.5" mid.

    Thanks for the comments/questions.
    As to why I installed the Sprinco extra power spring, no I was not having any problem at all. I ordered that spring along with the recoil spring as a back-up, spare part, and decided to go ahead and install it, and keep the factory part as a spare.
    Now, as for my LMT being overgassed...well thats what I called it. It cycled really very violently, and I had a couple more agree with me on it. So, I tamed her down some, and I think a M16 carrier ought to finish the job.
    BTW...I thought the Spikes buffer was heavier than an H3?
    I appreciate the comments fellas.

    ST-T2=4.1oz.
    H2=4.6oz.
    H3=5.4oz.

    So it wasn't actually overgassed, it was working fine but you decided to fix it, and three guys who don't know what an overgassed gun looks like decided it was cycling violently?
