I thought so. So what were you trying to fix, on a working gun, by adding all that aftermarket shit?

Straight Shooter, what is being pointed out is something very common with those fresh into the scene: trying parts that are relatively unnecessary in an effort to improve something that the shooter does not yet truly understand. It seems counter to our interests, which should really indicate to the reader that we are speaking from experience and with the best intent.
There are a lot of unnecessary parts and "upgrades" that are built and sold to a specific market segment, an while that sounds attractively exclusive, that market segment is actually "inexperienced users that believe advertisement and low-density observations", as well as the "I bought something under false assumptions and now think I need to fix it" crowd.

Now, there are some decent upgrades for a 16" carbine length gas system, such as the LMT enhanced carrier and an A5 recoil system, but they are not necessary for your use yet. The cost of those items would be better expended in ammo and range time under the eye of a good instructor. You have a good AR, one that is caipable of standing on it's own, and time behind the trigger will improve real performance far more than the latest fad. I have a hell of a lot more respect for a guy that has a decent, simple gun that can shoot it to it's capability than a dude with the neatest, greatest, whiz-bangiest blaster that shoots like a cow pissing on a flat rock.

Spare parts are great, but only if they perform identical work.

Now, another thing. You will generally get better answers to your questions if you don't ball them all up into one post and research the questions in advance. I'm not saying that you can't ask questions, just do a little leg work first, it shows true interest and effort on your part and not just some kid that wants everything done for them.
