You're the only person who put into words why I love that picture.

Well i think I have the answer I was looking for... Thanks

I was really looking for a solution for minimizing sound and concussive blast as the Tavor is short enough that my face is really only inches away from the end of the barrel. Its only 5.56 so I don't really give a crap about muzzle climb, so I just need to find a F/H to help make firing the rifle a little less obnoxious for me and the guy firing beside me. Any suggestions? Please note: As much as I would like one, Canadians can not own suppressors....( and you think your gun laws suck down there!!!)
Never get out of the boat. Absolutely goddamn right. Unless you were goin' all the way.

They are heavy and direct blast / sound forward well enough. Did anyone mention that they are also a great fire starter for say a BBQ if you forget the matches?

It isn't called the fire breathing pig for nothing.

I also detect some big time man crush happening here. Uhhhh, not like there is anything wrong with that if that's your bag baby.

It's not how close you are to the barrel though. The register of an SBR vs 16" barrel is extremely different - independent of shooter placement. I recently popped by a local range without my range bag and was unfortunate enough to be next to someone shooting a Sig 5.56 "pistol". Provided I only had the range's crappy ear pro - I had to double up. You could see many shooters flinch everytime the SBR shot.

I'm not trying to deter you from a KX3 at all. If we could have SBRs here in Michigan - I'd strongly look at one. It's just SBRs have a bone- thumping signature that makes 16" barrels seem quiet - even bullpups. You can feel that shit in your chest. It's extreme enough that I'd never want to fire one indoors without high quality ear pro - no matter what.

Good looking rifles too. Definitely a rare sight. Keep us posted, bro.

E.T.A. Your shot of the rifles are now my Lock screen of my iPhone. Very cool. And we can't have Suppressors or SBRs in my state either - so don't feel too bad.

E.T.A. Forgot I got it from this thread as well - but the picture of the gentleman enjoying a game of "Middle East Polo" is my iPhone mainscreen and PC wallpaper. That's Winning on so many levels...

Ive fired a few 7.5 SBR's in the past, but these little Tavors are not far behind for eardrum busting potential. I think I'll have a look at the Troy muzzle break to see if it could help. It's not the overall decibel level but the extremely high pitch that these things give off when you fire them.

Hmm. Very interesting. I'd be out of my lane saying otherwise - having not been around a Tavor before. Have been around bullpups - but I'm sure it's apples to oranges in some respects.

I think I'm out of the loop on the Troy. I'll have to look it up sometime. Stay safe. I'll be making a boat ride to your country in the coming weeks. Canada is a beautiful country.
