Cameron and FMCDH hit the nail on the head.

All in all it is a decent place for gun owners, just stay out of Denver.

I have first hand experience living in Denver. I actually got my CCW Permit through the City and County of Denver. It sucks, but it's livable if you have a work or school obligation within the confines of the City. Just be sure to keep your 30 round mags out of the County of Denver (the inner most city).

Lakewood, Littleton, Aurora, Northglen, etc. are all good to go.

Go down to The Hill and stock up on Italian food before you come. I dream of T-ravs at Cunetto's, Steak Mudega at Lorusso's and finish off with a Concrete.

You will have to fill out the appropriate paperwork with the ATF before the move, and indicate it is permanent. Assuming you do that you are good. I registered an SBR on a Trust while living in Denver and it went just fine. The lower only needs to state the place it was originally manufactured.

Theoretically, you are OK in that people passing thru are exempt, but people have said that the police may grab your stuff anyway. Don't know it it has ever actually happened. I carry a copy of the current law with each AR I have just for reference. Some people don't realize that it went from a ban to the 20rnd limit. (Also 6 rounds for auto shotguns)

Check out rmgo.org for more info on the laws.

Sorry, I didn't catch it, but are they a "shall issue" or a "may issues state for CC?

    Thanks.

    Love Texas.

If youre not driving like a NUT to get pulled over, how would the cops know about whats in your trunk?

Drive safe, follow traffic laws, wear youre seatbelt

Just want to know the law so I don't break it, or if the LE doesn't then I do know my rights. I know from a Hunter Safety course that if you live in Denver you are not allowed to leave your house with your gun unless going hunting or a shooting event (Range). This does not apply to non-residents of Denver, however. I thought it might be the same standards.
