    LWRCI M6SL

Just bought and shot the lwrci m6sl and was extremely happy. more gun for the price here. If your new to ARs or just a lwrci fan this piston gun is awesome. So light weight you cant believe it. Did a 100 yard zero yesterday with an aimpoint T-1 and had a 4 inch circle group with just a couple flyers from my mistake of trying to hurry before the buzzer. If you are looking for a affordable high quality M4 this is it in my opinion. I have a Colt, LWRCI M6A1 and LWRCI M6A2 SBR. The M6SL combines the old school with the new and kept it light which is what made me so happy without sacrifice to accuracy. Hope this helps.

You won't find much love here for LWRC. However, I would like to see a more detailed analysis, as well as groups with match loads.

How much does the carbine weigh, unloaded?

I would buy one except for the price. I look forward to hearing your feed back

LWRC has fixed what wasn't broken, and now what they made is a solution in search of a problem.

Do some heavy testing, and when you really know the weapon, come back and post a review with pictures....

Personally, when I can get a Colt LE6920 for around one thousand dollars, I fail to see the need for anything more complex, especially considering the fact that the LWRC can't beat the Colt at anything...

LWRC M6 SL is a CHF barrel with Nicorr surface treatment, a mid length gas system, nickel coated one piece bolt, Magpul accessories, a proven piston system, and excellent fit and finish, none of which you get with a 6920. The LWRC spanks the 6920.... Duh.... A carbine length 16" system. Wow, how impressive. If thats so great, why do all you DI'ers run middies.

Do you have any actual empirical data to back up your assertions? Fit and finish? TOS is >>>>>>>>>>>

What is WRONG with the LWRC? Does it have a proven mode of failure?

Or is the hate simply because of the price-tag and perception that it is functionally equal to its DI contemporaries (which in many cases cost as much/more)?

For a while they had a horrible history of function issues. You would see many posts by people who bought new LWRCs who had issues with them. You never saw any posts like that with people who had Colt 6920s unless the user was using really bad ammo or bad mags.

They would send them back to the factory and be told, "Oh, we're doing this or that revision, etc" which might or might not have fixed the issue.

I was in a carbine class a few years ago where two out of the four LWRCs in the class had major issues functioning.

They seem to be much better over the last few years.

The bottom line is that they don't have the track record of success as a Colt 6920, but cost a lot more.

If I am going to be spending more money than a Colt 6920, I want something with at least the 6920's level of reliability & durrability.

Also, if you look around enough you will likley notice a dislike of all things piston on this board on the part of many posters.

Speak for yourself. I had an LWRC upper and thought very highly of it.
