    I wonder if the extra length of a Vltor Emod would be an improvement for the OP.

    For prone with a collapsable stock on a carbine, I'd go with the UBR. It's designed to work with a carbine buffer (although you have to install their included extension tube), and your cheek weld will be on the cheek piece even when you're in a "turkey neck" position, rather than on the tube. Then, you still have the collapsing feature for other types of shooting.
