I hope she runs like a woodchipper. Hopefully she is fixed. Let us know.

It might be worth checking the extractor spring. If it is a five coil spring or has an O ring on it it may be restricting the extractor travel to much.

Five coil springs are OK on some bolts but don't allow full travel on others. For whatever it is worth, the new Colt springs I have are four coils.

It is an SR-15 upper. Its bolt and extractor is different.

Will do. I have a little less than 400 rounds of the m193 that it doesn't like. I'm planning to hit the range after work today, so if I can make it through several mags without issues, it should be fine. I will also take note of ejection, as it was rather erratic before. Using some dummy rounds a friend made for me, I tested it yesterday, before and after the ejector and spring swap. Ejection was much more positive and consistent after the change, though that obviously won't tell me as much as shooting the damn thing. That said, I'm glad I purchased that tool and swapped this out, as it was stupid easy and now I have yet another specialized tool should the need arise.

Just got back from the range. Worked flawlessly. I fired both xm193 (which I couldn't get through a single mag without a stoppage) and PMC bronze. No issues whatsoever. Ejection was consistent and positive at around 3 o'clock. Still curious as to why it seemed to work fine, then gave up one afternoon, but I'm sure the issue has been resolved.

Just curious, does KAC use a shorter spring in their SR-25 or was this just a manufacturing issue?

Without asking KAC, I have no idea. I believe that everything other than the bolt, cam pin, extractor and extractor springs, extractor retaining pin, barrel extension, firing pin and gas tube is just standard AR-15/M-16 parts.
