I just posted in another thread and it out my post above a few others older than mine. It said I posted at 2104 and it was 2204. It is 2215 now. Let's see if it does it again!

Something is up. I know we have had a solar flare and could have jumbled up a few bits (could).

Or we could be getting hacked, but doubt it.

Either way, this is become a jig-saw in reading posts.

Oh, and my computer is properly stacked with the right amount of lube.

I just noticed the quick links -> mark forums read button only works occasionally.

My monitor has a full auto carrier so I don't think it is the problem.

My SWAG: It's entirely possible that this site is hosted on multiple load-balanced web servers, and one of them has a clock that's off by an hour. If I get routed to the one that's off, then my post gets timestamped with the wrong time. Then when posts are displayed in order of ascending timestamp the order gets all screwed up.
I'm reasonably certain this is a pretty accurate description of the true culprit. It does not appear to be anything related to the forum software itself.

Did you guys ever think to mention to the OP that maybe the issue isnt the "cheap" CPU at all. Before blaming Dell for being an out-of-spec piece of shit i would check to make sure your modem's seated correctly and that your not using junk Russian steel jacket cables.

I love how on this site if a "less expensive/non-milspec" brand CPU has malfunction issues its always because "its a piece of shit" or "that company always takes shortcuts" but if it's a beloved Apple the problems always something else other than the CPU itself. gimmie a break.

And i'm not a hater, I'm running an iMAC right now.

I think it might be that and users need to assure in their CP options that they have the correct time selected.

I'm -5GMT with DST selected and my posts still show up as being 2 hours earlier. Even at that they show up before a post that was made hours before mine.

But someone that posted from my time zone came in after mine correctly.

    a test

My CP is set for GMT -6, central time, with automatic DST detection (which should put me in GMT -7).

It is currently 1310, central daylight time as I click submit....

I just either log out right then and then log back in and its fine, or I just hit refresh a few times and it works, I haven't had to actually wait the 2769 seconds yet.... yet.
