Just got a dynacomp in last week, have shot about 600 rds through it. Put it on a 6920 and had another 6920 with an A2 on it. I was very surprised at the recoil reduction and reduction of muzzle flip. I had 8 people shoot it today during training and they all commented positively on the same thing. One thing I did notice is it (depending on the string of fire) pushes the muzzle a little lower than I'd like (3-5 round strings).

Do either of you have experience with the Dynacomp to say that it is inferior to the FSC? Just curious.

I have no experience with the Dynacomp and was not making any claim on the relative merits of each. I'm simply noting that the FSC is well proven and fits within his budget.

As far as flash, the Battlecomp and M4-SD both have more flash than the FSC as indicated by various tests (many of which can be found here) so it seems very likely that the Dynacomp will also have more flash than the FSC, although I have no proof of that. In general the perforated-cage style comps provide less blastiness at the expense of more flash. It's a tradeoff.

I finally installed the extreme and ran about three mags thru it in 3-5 round string. I didn't notice any downward push on my gun. I'm pretty happy with it. It tames the recoil just like the miculek comp but without the side blast. I can't compare it to the Battlecomp or PWS since I've not shot those. But for under $100, I'm very happy with it.

Look into the Griffin Armament M4-SD Compensator. Having shot the BC 1.5 and this side by side, I will recommend the Griffin. It has a harder metal, A2 dimensions, can be had for $100, and doesn't push the muzzle down (my only complaint of the BC). Compared to an A2 it is louder (identical to BC) but not disruptive and has moderatley more muzzle flash, but again it's nearly identical to the BC.

Flash doesn't bother me as much as having too much blast. I've looked at the FSC's and its definately an option. Haven't heard much on the Griffin but i'll take a look at it. I wish i had a local range i could try all of these options out at. Thanks for the input everyone.

I've got the Dynacomp on a 14.5" midlength and it does as advertised on muzzle rise and recoil reduction. It's a great piece at half the price of a BC. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. I didn't notice much increase in muzzle flash or noise because as the shooter, i'm concentrating on shooting.

Here's a preview to an upcoming review of the Dynacomp by 87GN:

It can't be very good at flash suppression, but it does look like it controls muzzle flip pretty well.
