I saw one work at dusk, not completely dark and it worked as advertised.
I cannot compare what ammo was used obviously but the B E Meyers flash suppressor is a pretty good piece......developed for ball powder which it does an excellent job with. Regards,
They also make an adapter for a KAC M4QD to fit on their FH. http://www.bemeyers.com/products.asp...id=6&subcat=27 I'd like more info on the FH as well.
I'd like to actually see the thing up close.
I contacted BE Meyer today regarding the 5.56 flash hiders. I will repost the information they provide when I receive their reply.
I ordered a couple the other day to try out for myself. They were backordered on the Knights compatible flash hider for a while to come so I got the regular one, which is about half the cost of the suppressor compatible one. I will report back about how it performs in complete dark when I get it in.
Something that people often don't realize is that when shooting suppressed out of a short barrel the suppressor tends to accumulate unburned powder, especially when shooting full-auto. The BE Meyer FH works great when in open atmosphere but put a can over it to capture the particulate coming out and it too will flash at some point. It doesn't matter how efficient a FH is if the suppressor is loaded with gun powder.
Take a look at some of the videos that RSilvers and others have posted of consecutive mag dumps and you will see the unburned powder flashing back down the barrel and out the end of the suppressor.
got more pictures ? just ordered one from brownells.![]()
