ForTenNguyren,I thought the King of all AR's, COLT could never be wrong or make a bad parts. Ha Ha Ha.. It also worked fine with the factory Colt A2 grip.

Since it seems to be a problem with the three MIAD grips it seems that they might be the problem. Years ago I replaced a factory grip with some aftermarket grip and had a similar problem.

It's funny you ask this question,I just posted basically the same question after you. It seems to have something to do w/the grips w/the beaver tail that does not allow the grip to pull as tight.I had the same issue w/a colt 6920 and a Daniel Defense.

Here is what I had posted: I recently purchased a Ergo Pistol grip for one of my carbines. Also had bought a Magpul pistol grip in the past. I had the same issue w/both of them. When installed my safety lever is loose. It seems that the grip's w/the beaver tail (For lack of better words) don't want to tighten up enough to keep this from happaning.(They don't keep enough tension on the safely spring) I've bought Houge grips that don't have the back strap and they are fine.
Anyone have this issue? And is it even anything to be concerned with?

I can't speak for others but it would be a problem to me.
I'd like some degree of resistance to moving a selector/safety.

cant remember what LPK my problem selector was, but after finding the problem part, I just bought another one from palmetto state armory to ship with some other parts I ordered. Worked fine after I swapped it out.

I just installed a MOE grip on my COLT 6520. I noticed the same thing... untill I tapped the bottom the grip with the screwdriver with a little force - it butted up against the receiver more, and I could tighten down the grip screw down a little more, and then it fit better. Apparently, the MOE grip was REAL tight to the part that the screw mounts to and I didn't have it down far enough.

Probably doesn't help for you, but worth looking at?

I'm just gonna stick with Houge's I like the feel of them and they don't loosen the safetly. Why don't these companies making these grips fix this issue? Seems pretty simple to me??

It gets even simpler when you contact the manufacturer directly with what you may think is a manufacturing error as per site rule #4
