    grip tape on M&P

Does any one have grip tape on thier handgun, if so what kind of tape or how do you get it to stay in place?

I put some non skid tape on my M&P fullsze two nights ago. I got the tape from home depot. It seemed to apply well, but after two days the ends are already peeling up on the edges by the back strap. Does any one have any suggestions as how to stop this.

I have also chossen not to use stippling on my hand gun since it is department issued. Just if any body was wondering.

Ive always used Hockey Tape. The edges dont really curl up.

I cant stand stippling or the Hogue grips

You might want to look into the Milwaukee Grip: http://mp-pistol.com/boards/index.ph...rip-backstrap/

A guy has come up with a gritty adhesive and applies it to the removable backstraps. I've used one for months now and it has held up well. I did discover that Powder Blast and the like will remove the coating, though the seller did send me another with no questions asked.

Though you might still have to apply tape to the front of the grip, the grit on the Milwaukee Grip isn't going to come off for a long time. I don't think it's going to last forever, but it's relatively inexpensive and works very well for me.

ETA: He was selling them on eBay but apparently doesn't have them for sale there now. I'd just e-mail him using the address on mp-pistol.com. Also, here's a review: http://mp-pistol.com/boards/index.ph...st-range-trip/

Glad to know there's at least one other person here who doesn't care for stippling.

Try this guy. I've used his products for several years on Glocks and I'm more than happy. Just enough of a texture to grip securely, but not so much to wear away your hand, clothes, etc.

    HOCKEY TAPE GOOD!
Cheap and when wet it turns into glue, sort of.
When doing drills in really wet weather (tropical monsoon rain deluge) on purpose, with the idea that training only when it's nice outside is nuts, first thing figured out was everything gets very very slippery. Slippery and grips is bad combination. Add hockey tape and all is well.
Added bonus: cheap, and easy to replace.

I know! Im at the range every sunday regardless of the weather. I never understood the whole "its not nice enough to go shooting" thing.

The wrap you have is that reusable? I mean its not sticky right? It just sticks to itself?

I use that stuff on a daily basis for work. The white wrap makes for good camo in the winter as a riflr wrap

It would be reusable, it sticks to itself. But at the price (like, $2 or so for a roll) you don't really want have to. Like it when it looks all raggedy though....all manly 'n shit.....
