I really want to go out west for a hunt - and that pic doesn't help me at all, hah. Congrats on it!

Ugg, don't even wanna think about how bad that'd suck. I have property for sale saved in my bookmarks for Montana. As soon as the opportunity presents itself, I'm buying something out there. Just a matter of time.

I've got nearly 100 sections to hunt on in the midwest that I get to about twice a year due to school/work. It blows, can't wait to graduate and own my own land.

Picture for thread: Coyote I shot with my .204 ruger

non-typical 8x6 mule deer my brother got this year.

Thanks guys, and ya the west is an awesome place to hunt! We only hunt on public land, and we usually kill pretty decent deer every year. These are a couple that my buddies and I got on opening day of the muzzle loader hunt a year or so ago.

If you're willing to get off the roads and trails a ways and put in a little effort, there are still some awesome deer on public land.

What a 150 grain Federal blue box 7mm Rem Mag hitting the shoulder looks like.

No dude is going to get shot in the chest at 300 yards and look down and say "What is that, a 3 MOA group?"
